We have found swimming sessions to be hugely beneficial to the fitness programme of the event horses. It takes the wear and tear off the legs and allows us to work them concentrating on cardiovascular fitness as well as improving muscle tone.

We use three different gallops one small hill gallop just outside Tadley, a large circular gallop just up the road in Bramshill and the huge hill gallops at Compton. We usually gallop every 4th day.
